We’re happy to welcome Brad Akers from the Indy Hot Wheel Club and his famous Sizzlers track to our Fall event.

First… what are Sizzlers? The Sizzlers were a 1970’s Hot Wheels spin off with a built-in motor and a tiny rechargeable battery. These 1/64 scale cars were produced in many popular body styles and run on special tracks. Popular with collectors, some owners report their Sizzlers can reach a speed of 13.7MPH!.

For this event, Brad will be bringing a large selection of his Sizzlers cars to demo and race on his special track.

Brad will be taking entry sign ups starting at 9am in the cafeteria (off the main hallway in Lakota East) and races will be held at approximately 11am.

Entries are $2 per car (provided by Brad) and our young guests are encouraged to sign up early! Entrants will receive a free diecast Hot Wheels with their participation and have a chance to win a trophy.

The races will be held in several heats with 4 cars running at a time and will last approximately 40-50 laps per heat (depending on time). The racing is fast and furious and we’re looking for volunteers help count laps and keep the cars on the track.
