Do you strip, repaint, decorate, chop or customize your cars? If you’re improving on what Hot Wheels shipped from the factory or letting your imagination run wild, this is the chance for you to show off your talents! Each fall we host a custom car contest during our show and it’s a huge hit.

How it works: Bring your custom creations to our show, then stop by the Club table when you arrive to register your entries (no cost, maximum of three entries per person, 1/64 scale only). Consider entering early so the public will have plenty of time to view your work.

Categories:

NEW: we’ve expanded the custom car showcase judging categories. When you enter your car, it should fall into one of the following categories:

Adult MILD: Entries in this category can have custom paint, decals, decorations applied and wheel swaps, however the casting itself / accessories should remain “stock”.

Adult WILD: In addition to the custom touches in MILD, cars in this category have been physically cut and feature additional material or parts from other models…or perhaps less parts than they originally came with. The sky is the limit!

KIDS: This is a great category for our younger crowd out there experimenting with their own special touches (ages 12 and under please). We love to see the creativity.

Trophies: For each category, a panel of judges will decide on our “best of category” trophy winners. Our results are normally tallied and announced around noon on the day of the show.

Next, we’ll display the entries for the public to see and show attendees will have the chance to vote on their favorite. The entry with the most votes overall will receive the People’s Choice Trophy.
